Janmashtami is celebrated according to the Hindu calendar, which falls in late August or early September.
Janmashtami is celebrated as a celebration of birth of Lord Krishna who was also Avtar of Lord Vishnu. so people used to celebrate this divine moment as the God Lord Vishnu comes on the earth as a child named Krishna in Gokul or Mathura.
In this festival people used to celebrate this festival by behaving drama, dance, spiritual songs with remembering Lord Krishna.
This festival is mainly very important for the religion so called vaishnavas. As they believe Lord Krishna as a Supreme God. so they used to celebrate this festival by dancing, by drama, by spiritual songs with remembering Lord Krishna.
This festival is mainly celebrated by vaishnavas by different ways they used to celebrate this festival by the program called Dahi Handi. As the lord Krishna loves butter very much.
